10 Summer Lifehacks

Here are a few lifehacks that can help you this summer!

#1 Use a cupcake liner to put under your popsicle.

Putting a cupcake liner under the popsicle you are eating will catch all the drips from your popsicle. Every time I eat a popsicle it drips all over and I’m stuck with a mess to clean. I also can’t enjoy my popsicle because I have to eat it fast to make sure it doesn’t drip. All you need to do is take a cupcake liner and stick it under your popsicle on the stick. Then, enjoy your popsicle without getting all sticky.

#2 Use baby powder to keep sand off of you.

We all know how annoying sand can be since it is difficult to get off and it gets everywhere. All you need to do is apply baby powder onto your body to keep sand off of you. This is helpful because whenever I go to the beach I get sand all over me, which results in the sand all over my house. This will come in use everytime you come from the beach.

#3 Use a bread clip on your slipper to keep them from falling apart.

I find this a common problem where my slippers fall apart from using them too much. To have them last longer, put a bread clip under your shoe where it keeps coming apart. I wish I knew this when I was a kid because my slippers were constantly falling apart halfway through the day. Now we can actually put bread clips to a good use once we use all the bread.

#4 Store your valuables in an empty lotion bottle.

There have been a few stories where people have left their stuff on the beach to go in the water and someone has come up and stolen their phones, wallets, etc. Using an empty lotion bottle will trick someone who is trying to steal your valuables because they typically don’t think to look there. Now we have a use for the lotion bottles after we use it all. All you need to do is clean out an almost empty lotion bottle and fill it with your valuables before you go to the pool, beach, etc.

#5 Put your phone in a plastic bag to protect it from the elements.

If you don’t want to get sand, water, food, sunscreen, etc., then put your phone in a Ziploc bag. This will allow you to still use your phone while you're at the beach or pool without getting it damaged by the elements.

#6 Wrap a bottle in a wet paper towel and put it in the freezer.

If you don’t have much time to let your drink cool, then wrap it in a wet paper towel and pop it in the freezer for fifteen minutes. Maybe your gonna go to the beach in a little bit but you don’t have any cold drinks. Then, this hack would be good for you and your friends.

#7 Pour coffee in an ice tray and freeze to make coffee cubes.

If you're sick or drinking iced coffee and having it watered down by ice cubes, then use this hack. All you have to do is pour coffee into the tray and freeze it for a little bit to make coffee cubes. These are easy for when you want cold brew coffee but don’t want it to get watered down.

#8 Hang your sunglasses on hangers.

To keep your sunglasses from breaking put them on hangers and stick them in your closet. This will make it not only easy to display your sunglasses, but also to keep them from breaking.

#9 Use a liter bottle to make a sprinkler.

Lay your liter bottle on the side and poke a few holes on the top. Then, go outside and twist the hose onto the cap. After this, turn on the hose and there you go, you have a DIY sprinkler for your backyard.

#10 Slide your straw through the tab on your juice or soda can to keep it from falling.

If your straw keeps bobbing or falling up and down in your can, just stick the straw through the tab and problem solved.
